Rennell Associates played a key role in The Brick Yard project, a transformative 125-acre master-planned development in Laurel, Maryland. Once home to the Washington Brick Company, this site has been reimagined into a dynamic mix of urban industrial and residential spaces.

Serving as the LEED Accredited Professional and Commissioning Authority, our team ensured that multiple buildings within the development met stringent sustainability standards. The Brick Yard was certified as a LEED Campus project, securing LEED Silver certification across multiple structures, including Buildings B, E, F, G, and I, over several years.

Spanning 70 acres, the Brick Yard Urban Industrial district features over 700,000 square feet of multi-purpose industrial buildings, all designed to meet Green Building Development Standards. Through our expertise in LEED certification and building commissioning, Rennell Associates helped ensure the long-term efficiency, performance, and sustainability of this landmark development just 10 miles from Washington, D.C.
